Currently, while I am typing, it is litteraly a few minutes to Rosh HaShana, but I could not wait to share my final thoughts on this last and this new year. So let's go.

On the last Shabbos of the year the Rabbi of the Orthodox temple I go to said many, many interesting and smart things, but one word really stuck with me: Rosh. In Hebrew Rosh is the beginning, the Head, or the Leader. While he continued on to explain things for Rosh HaShana, and what it has to do with big Leaders coming up, my mind started wondering to other places (thanks, Brain, I did not wanna follow anyway). Every Elul I start to think what I want to better about myself. I want to be more calm, listen more, judge less and stress less about small things. I also want to try to use less swear words, but this will be a loooooong journey. But when the Rabbi startet talking about Leaders I started to think that this is the perfect time to start leading. Something. Anything. It doesn't matter. HaShem gave us this gift of life. There is much to explore, and many things to do. This can be overwhelming. So, let's take a big breath together. What is something, where you lack leadership in your life? Where do you feel you need a Captain? Maybe it's taking leadership in your Lovelife and let people stop abuse your trust. Maybe it's about your body, that you stop hating it, and start a journey of learing to appreaciate it. It could be a new project for you community, that you miss. Or learning a new language. What ever you do, keep in mind that you are in charge of this. This is not for anyone else, but for yourself, this is you, leading yourself, or maybe even others, to something you love, need or want. The new year will be intense, like the ones before. But it will also be great, if we work on a good and bright new year. Do youself the favour and try to find more love and light, and when you did, go share it with the world. Let's start the new year with a love revolution that leads us to peace, one where we realise we are in charge of our lifes, where we do not wait around, but act on things we want. And next year, when we think of what we did, who knows, maybe we can say: I found love, I learned a language, I built a community and we can find more joy the next year after that, and after that.
